MORE THAN A HUNDRED STILL WITHOUT WATER IN ORANMORE
February 8, 2010 - 5:24pmCouncil staff are still working this evening to find the cause of a water outage which has left residents and businesses in Oranmore without running water.
The problem emerged in the early hours of yesterday morning, and has affected up to 100 residents in the Oakfield, Tudor Vale and Ashbrook estates.
The Council originally thought it was caused by a fault with a valve at the Texaco filling station.
But they've now discovered the leak on the distribution line is bigger than they first thought and are continuing to search for the cause.
