GALWAY TO LIMERICK RAIL LINK TO OPEN MARCH 30TH

Intercity rail services between Galway and Limerick will re-open for the first time in 30 years next month.

Iarnród Eireann has confirmed the first phase of the Western Rail Corridor will open on Tuesday March 30th.

The 106.5 million euro route will be officially launched the day before, following the completion of the Ennis to Athenry line.

The new rail line will serve Limerick, Ennis, Athenry and Galway, with new stations at Sixmilebridge, Gort, Ardrahan and Craughwell.
