THREE MEN REMANDED IN CUSTODY OVER COUNTY RAIDS

Three men have been remanded in custody following an appearance at Spiddal District Court today in relation to raids in the county yesterday.
The Lithuanian men were arrested after a Garda chase through the city yesterday morning.
25 year old Arudas Albretas, 22 year old Kestutas Misiukas and 21 year old Romunda Valbrektas, originally from Lithuania, but with addresses in Galway appeared before Spiddal District Court today.
They were arrested at Mullanmór, Glenail Drive on the Tuam Road in the city at 3.45am yesterday.
They face 12 charges between them in connection with a burglary at Fahy's Opticians in Mountbellew and Quinns Shop in Labane yesterday morning.
