TANAISTE LAUNCHES COMPETENCE CENTRE AT NUIG
March 11, 2010 - 3:13pmTanaiste and Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan, has launched a Competence Centre for Bio-energy and Bio-refining at NUIGalway.
It's part of a €56m investment in nine competence centres across the country, spearheaded by Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland to boost industry-led research.
The Centre in Galway will research ways to convert energy from plants into fuel, heat and power.
