100 UHG STAFF PROTEST OVER CUTS TO SERVICES

August 24, 2010 - 3:11pm

Up to 100 staff from Galway University Hospitals raised their voices this lunchtime in protest over any cuts to hospital services.

Members of IMPACT and SIPTU trade unions held large banners and shouted "save our services" as they marched outside the nurses library at University Hospital Galway.

The protest is part of the 'Save Our Services' campaign to resist Government plans to cut €24 million from the hospital budget and over €18 million from community services.
