A teenager will appear in Galway District Court's Children's Court next month charged with burglary at a city bar.

He appeared in custody at Galway District Court this week.(aug 31)

Inspector Ernie Whyte told the court that the young man was found by Gardai hiding upstairs in an Pucán Bar, Forster Street at 3.20am on August 16th.

He was hiding in a vacant upstairs nightclub with a key, a lighter and some lighter fluid in his possession.

The accused - who can't be named because of his age - gained entry through a side alley and was very aggressive, according to Inspector Whyte.
