The Labour Party will host a protest outside University Hospital Galway this weekend to highlight what it describes as "savage" cuts by the HSE West.

The Party Spokesperson on Health, Deputy Jan O' Sullivan will address a press conference at the city hospital at 11.30am tomorrow.

It's part of Labour's 'Winning the West' campaign and other Labour representatives from Donegal to Limerick will attend.

It comes ahead of another demonstration against health cuts at Merlin Park Hospital next week.
