MINISTER CONFIRMS CLAREGALWAY SCHOOL TO OPEN IN 2013

Minister for Education, Ruairi Quinn, has confirmed the long-awaited secondary school for Claregalway will open in two years time.

Galway West Labour TD Derek Nolan today received confirmation that the school will be opened in September 2013.

According to Deputy Nolan, around 1700 children are attending primary schools in Claregalway and surrounding areas.

These children traditionally go on to attend secondary schools in Athenry, Oranmore and Galway city.
