GORT JOBS TO BOOST LOCAL ECONOMY
September 1, 2011 - 3:17pm
The 35 new jobs announced at a medical device company in Gort have been hailed as a positive boost for the local economy.
'CareFusion', which manufactures diagnostic equipment for neurological disorders, formally announced the jobs at a function in the Lady Gregory Hotel this afternoon.
The company was set up in 2006 with just 12 employees, and now employs 90 people, with recruitment for another 35 over the next 12 months.
Mayor of County Galway, Michael 'Mogie' Maher says the jobs boost will really benefit the local economy.
