GALWAY NORRIS CAMPAIGN GATHERS ONE THOUSAND SIGNATURES
September 11, 2011 - 10:21amOver 1,000 signatures have been gathered on the streets of Galway as the campaign to get David Norris to re-enter the presidential race gathers momentum.
The "We Want Norris" supporters secured the signatures over a 12 hour two day period in the city this weekend.
Meanwhile, reports in today's Sunday Independent suggest that Mr Norris is considering a return to the presidential race.
According to the paper, the Senator has changed his mind following the continued support from the public, as well as indications from some Fianna Fail Oireachtas members that they would support his bid for a nomination.
