INDUSTRIAL ACTION TO BEGIN AT MERLIN PARK CHILDRENS UNIT
February 3, 2012 - 6:41pmPsychiatric nurses working at The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit at Merlin Park Hospital will begin industrial action next week.
The Psychiatric Nurses Association claims it has been forced to take the action because the HSE has not responded to the level of assaults at the unit.
The PNA says that since the opening of the unit a year ago, there have been more than 190 assaults in nurses.
Nurses are planing to begin work to rule practice from Monday.
