BORD PLEANALA AWAITS OBJECTION WITHDRAWEL TO DOUGHISKA SCHOOL
The withdrawal of an objection to a new school building in Doughiska means the project can advance without delay.
Councillor Declan McDonnell claims the third party appeal for a primary and a secondary school was withdrawn last Friday.
However, a spokesperson for An Bord Pleanala says they have yet to receive the withdrawal letter.
Residents of the Tur Uisce estate lodged submissions to the plans in January following Galway city Councils grant of permission for the schools in December.
Cllr Declan McDonnell says the residents decision to withdraw the appeal means the school building can now go ahead without delay.
