VOLVO OCEAN RACE TO CREATE 200 LOCAL CATERING JOBS
200 catering jobs are to be created in the city at the Volvo Ocean race global village.
Masterchefs Hospitality has secured the catering contract for the event.
The village consists of a 17 acre business expo with conferences, seminars, exhibition space and networking hubs.
The Galway stopover- an 8 day festival of sport, culture, entertainment and the arts takes place from June 30th to July 8th.
The interview process for the positions will begin in mid-June.
Pat O'Sullivan of Masterchefs Hospitality says over 200 staff will be taken on from the local available talent pool.
