MINISTER SAYS TUAM MUST FOCUS ON NEW JOB SCHEMES
June 15, 2012 - 8:17amThe Jobs Minister says Tuam town council needs to focus on initiatives such as 'Connect Ireland' to tackle the high unemployment figures in the area.
Richard Bruton made the remarks ahead of a meeting with a delegation from the council.
At this weeks meeting of the Tuam town council, councillors expressed concern over the unoccupied business park in the town.
Over 2 thousand people in the Tuam area are currently out of work.
