EXAMINER TO BE APPOINTED AT ATLANTIC HOMECAREE
June 15, 2012 - 9:11amAn examiner is expected to be appointed to city DIY chain Atlantic Homecare
in the High Court this morning [June 15].
Its Galway base is based in Wellpark Retail Park on the Dublin Road where up to 30 staff are employed.
The Galway retail outlet is one of five nationwide that could be targetted for closure.
Others include Liffey Valley in Dublin, Pouladuff in Cork, Newbridge in Kildare and Childers Road in Limerick.
Nationally, up to 114 jobs could be lost and 5 of the 13 stores closed as part of a plan to save the business.
The company which had losses of 11.2 million euros last year was granted temporary court protection earlier this month.
