PRESIDENT HIGGINS TO VISIT CITY ON MONDAY
June 16, 2012 - 5:29pmPresident of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins will visit the city on Monday where he'll officiate at two engagements [June 18th].
He'll first visit Scoil Chroi Iosa on the Newcastle Road at 10.30am where he'll plant an apple tree in the school's organic garden.
President Higgins will then deliver the opening address at the International Disability Summer School in NUI Galway at 12 noon.
