DRUIDMURPHY PREMIERE IN LONDON
June 23, 2012 - 1:49pmPresident Michael D. Higgins is attending the official opening of DruidMurphy in London today.
Presented by Galway based, Druid theatre company, the story of Irish emigration is told through DruidMurphy, three plays by playwright Tom Murphy.
The performance of 'Conservations on a homecoming', 'A whistle in the dark' and 'Famine' begins this lunchtime and finishes at 10:30 tonight.
The DruidMurphy London premiere, is directed by Garry Hynes, and co-hosted by Druid and NUI Galway.
It toured in Galway from May 25th to June 9th but will next return to the city in July for the Galway Arts Festival.
