CITY COUNCIL TO INVESTIGATE SEAMUS QUIRKE WATER LEAK
June 23, 2012 - 5:17pmGalway city council says it will carry out an investigation into a water leak on the Seamus Quirke road this morning.
It's understood a water-hydrant close to the Browne roundabout opened for several minutes causing some flooding on the road and along the part of the footpath.
City Council has confirmed water services staff do not know who opened and closed the hydrant causing a partial flood on the road or for what purpose.
The flooding has since drained away.
