PISA RESTRUCTURING ENGINEER TO SPEAK IN GALWAY
The 2012 international Geo-engineering education conference opens in NUI Galway's engineering complex today (wed jul 4)
The 3 day conference will look at improving teaching in the area of geo-engineering which focuses on the design of building foundations, tunnels, slopes and embankments.
Professionals from around the world will speak at the event, including Professor Burland of the Imperial College of London who played a key role in securing the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy recently
Organiser Dr Brian McCabe says there are jobs in the area for students who are up for a challenge.
