NO ARRESTS YET IN TIGER KIDNAPPING IN INVERIN

A shop manager was held at gunpoint and abducted before the raid at a shop and post office in Inverin
The manager was out socialising at the well known Poitin Stil pub in Inverin last night - and when he went to his car to drive home, at around a quarter to midnight, a masked man carrying a gun jumped into the passenger seat beside him.
He demanded he drive to the shop - An Siopa Phobail in an Coill Rua - and there he tied the shop manager to a chair and stole a substantial amount of cash understood to be 20 thousand euros
No shots were fired and the shopworker was not hurt during the incident.
The thief then made his getaway in the shop manager's car, a black Toyota Starlet, which was later found in Bohoona, Spiddal.
