TUAM TOWN TO OFFICIALLY OPEN JACK MANGAN ROUNDABOUT
August 4, 2012 - 2:02pmThe Jack Mangan roundabout in Tuam is to be officially opened this afternoon [Aug 4].
The structure was originally built some ten years ago and connects the Sean Purcell and Frank Stockwell inner-relief roads.
Former Tuam Star Jack Mangan captained the Galway All-Ireland Senior Football team in their win over Cork in 1956 and will travel to Tuam from his Wolverhampton base in the UK for the event.
The official naming ceremony gets underway at 4 this afternoon.
Speaking to Galway Bay fm news, Tuam Mayor Eamon Kitt says it's an historic day for the town.
