NO ARRESTS IN GARDA HUNT FOR BOMBSCARE HOAX CULPRITS
August 4, 2012 - 5:34pmGalway Gardaí say they have yet to track down the culprits behind a spate of bombscare hoaxes last weekend. (28/07)
On this night last week, Gardaí were alerted to bombscares at Hayden's hotel in Ballinasloe and the Bentley on Prospect Hill in the city.
Calls were also made to Gardaí in relation to bombs at the Western Hotel Claremorris and the Tullamore Court Hotel.
All four venues were evacuated, and no supsect devices were found following a thorough search by Gardaí and staff.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
Co-owner of the Bentley nightclub Shane Broderick says the bombscare had a serious impact on numbers attending last Saturday night.
