GALWAY WOMAN SEEKS OLYMPIC GLORY
As Mullingar boxer John Joe Nevin prepares to go for gold tonight, a Galway athlete is also preparing to compete on the international stage.
At 5pm, Galway's Olive Loughnane and Laura Reynolds will take part in the women's 20k Race Walk.
The 36 year old Loughrea woman will be competing in her fourth Olympic games.
