POST-MORTEM COMPLETE ON BODY DISCOVERED ON CONNEMARA BEACH
August 18, 2012 - 10:15amThe state pathologist has now carried out a postmortem on the body of a man washed up on a Connemara beach on Thursday.
Gardai will this afternoon hold a conference as efforts to identify the body discovered on Huston Beach in Lettermullen, have so far failed.
State Pathologist Marie Cassidy completed the post mortem last evening.
However Gardai are still keeping an open mind regarding the circumstances of the incident.
The man is described as aged between 20 and 40 and is 6 feet in height.
No further details are being released at present, however any information on the man's possible identity can be forwarded to Salthill Gardai at 091 51 47 20.
A Garda conference is to take place this afternoon to discuss the next steps of the investigation.
