GALWAY RAPE CRISIS CENTRE EXPANDS SERVICES AT NEW OFFICES
Galway Rape Crisis Centre hopes to expand its capability to meet an increase in demand for services as it reopens its doors at its new Forster Court base today.
The local branch which had been based in Claddagh had been closed for a time last way to facilitate the transition and changeover.
The new premises is three times in size with an additional 8 counselling rooms.
It will be officially launched next month together with the annual report statistics of the local branch.
Executive Director of the local centre Aoibheann McCann says an average of five new people reach out to the group every week and they can now be catered in better facilities.
