Delorentos, The Undertones, The Minutes, Aslan and Tucan are among the acts taking part in this year’s Guinness Live Music Festival, which runs from Thursday September 27-30 in the city’s Latin Quarter.

Now in its second year, the four-day festival includes an extensive line-up of national and local acts performing a series of intimate gigs in venues and pubs throughout the city’s Latin Quarter, with more than 50 live performances over four nights. Admission to all gigs will be free and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guinness Live will begin on Arthur’s Day and include high-profile and established bands as well as exciting new acts including The Strypes, Walking on Cars, Toy Soldier and Galway heroes, Rhythm Scheme.

The festival will also feature reggae supremo Natty Wailer and The Reggae Vibes as well as many Galway bands, who will cover a broad musical spectrum. Participating DJs will include Today FM’s KC (Keith Cunningham) and Bez of Happy Mondays fame.

The Festival is supported by the businesses of the Latin Quarter and by Guinness. According to the Chairman of the Latin Quarter, Dave Keogh,“it further consolidates Galway’s position as Ireland’s premier festival city and highlights the Latin Quarter’s role in attracting visitors here year-round”.

All events are for over 18s. For full details on acts and venues and for Festival updates visit www.thelatinquarter.ie.
