Charley Pride’s farewell tour

Country singer, Charley Pride is coming to Ireland next month for his very last concert tour here.

Showtours, who have been promoting Charley Pride for up to 20 years and organising country music festivals in Bundoran and Killarney over the same period, have announced two spectacular Charley Pride Farewell Music Festivals to mark this occasion.

The first is on the October Bank Holiday, Friday 26 to Monday 29, there will be a non-stop feast of country music in Bundoran, Co Donegal, featuring Charley, Dominic Kirwan, John McNicholl, Robert Mizzell, Patrick Feeney, Declan Nerney, Derek Ryan, Susan McCann, Gloria, Hugo Duncan, Nathan Carter and many more.

Killarney will roll out the red carpet from Friday, November 2 to Monday 5, for another festival headlined by Charley and featuring Don McLean, John McNicholl, Paddy O'Brien, Patrick O'Sullivan, The Legends and others.

For the past 40 years, Charley Pride has remained one of the Top 20 best-selling artists of all time. On RCA Records, he is second in sales only to Elvis Presley. Despite this success, he remains a humble man who appreciates his fans and has a great sense of humour, which adds to the enjoyment of his concerts.

His hits include such well-known songs as Crystal Chandeliers, Anybody going to San Antone?, Kiss an Angel Good Morning, All I have to Offer you is Me, Every Heart should have One, I'm So afraid of Losing You, Does my Ring Hurt your Finger? and more.

Since news filtered out of Charley's farewell concerts at the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran, on October 26/27 and the INEC, Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney on Friday November 2, tickets are moving fast.
