Roundstone house for sale for over a million - Roundstone, USA!
September 27, 2012 - 7:00amA mere $1.1 million will secure you a beautiful new home in Roundstone and the vendors are confident that they will achieve their price – but it’s not the return of the property boom......because this Roundstone is deep in the heart of America.
Nonetheless this new arrival has a real connection with the real Roundstone in Connemara. And for good measure Clifden has made its way to the same location – the outskirts of a town called Zionsville in Indiana.
The sign for Roundstone was recently spotted by physiotherapist from Indianapolis who is familiar with Connemara.
Beverly Reid had an appointment to go from her base in Indianapolis to the town of Zionsville which is about 30 miles north of the State capital. On getting close to her destination she noticed a sign for Roundstone.
The place name rang some bells with her but she put it down to a co-incidence – that is until she travelled a short distance further where she spotted a sign for Clifden!
When she visited her clients she enquired about the origin of these local place names and she got the real story. The developers had visited Connemara and were so impressed that they decided they would have a permanent reminder of Clifden and Roundstone in their own State.
And so they named the new neighbourhoods Roundstone and Clifden.
