NOBEL PRIZE WINNER TO HOST NUIGALWAY TALK
October 12, 2012 - 9:47amA world renowned physicist and nobel prize winner will host a talk at NUI Galway next week.(15 OCT)
Professor Edmund Phelps was granted the nobel prize for economic sciences in 2006.
Professor Phelps won the nobel prize for his analysis of intertemporal trade-offs in macroeconomic policy.
His work has had a profound impact on economic research as well as policy.
On Monday afternoon, Professor Phelps will host a public address at NUI Galway. (15 Oct)
It's being organised by the law society and the literary and debating society and takes place at the Siobhan McKenna theatre at 2pm.
During the event, he will be presented with the President's medal which is the law society and the literary and debating society's highest accolade.
