Jim McKee and band for late gig Monroe’s
October 19, 2012 - 7:00amBurren based musician Jim McKee and his band – a popular fixture on Ireland’s live music scene – will be in Monroe’s this Sunday, October 21.
Their music is a mix of upbeat folk and rock, and they perform both original material as well as interpreting classic favourites. Their songs were recently featured on the soundtrack of the locally made film, Songs for Amy, which received its Irish premiere at Galway Film Fleadh.
The Jim McKee band have played support to artists including Mary Coughlan, Mick Flannery and Ocean Coloured Scene.
Tyrone born Jim, who is a singer/songwriter and visual artists, is vocalist with the group as well as playing guitar and harmonica. Keith Horan is on drums, Ryan Gil on lead guitar and vocals, Eddie on bass guitar and Baez on harmonica.
Doors for their show in Monroe’s on October 21 are at 11pm and tickets are €5.
