Protestors are set to gather in Loughrea this afternoon as part of their campaign to boycott the household charge[Fri Oct 26].

The march is organised to raise awareness of the household tax they have labelled "unjust".

The group claims that by registering for the Household tax, citizens are inadvertantly signing up for the property tax which, they claim, could see people being taxed an extra €400 a year.

The protest will take place outside the offices of Labour Senator Lorraine Higgins in Loughrea town at 4 this afternoon.
