Singer-songwriter Eoin Glackin for Monroe’s
November 2, 2012 - 8:00amDublin singer songwriter Eoin Glackin plays Monroe’s Live this Friday, November 2. He has just released his new single New World Blue, a taster track from his second LP, which will be released in early 2013.
Having moved to London, Eoin spent some years playing on the club and pub scene, slowly building a reputation as a powerful and talented performer. He managed to acquire a management agency, wrote a strong catalogue of songs and piqued the interest of record producer Ian Grimble, who’s CV included work for artists like The Clash, Beth Orton and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
His writing and passionate performance style brought him to the attention of Sony Music Ireland, with whom he inked a deal. He went on to release his debut album Not Lost in Summer 2011. Eoin toured extensively throughout Ireland and the UK, promoting the album and building a strong live following.
Parting company with Sony Music, Eoin set about independently recording his new album, with Ian Grimble returning to the helm. The new LP, titled Rain Finally Came, will be released in early 2013 and the lead track New World Blue is a taste of the roots rock record to come.
