Courtroom drama stages at An Taibhdhearc
A courtroom drama, featuring 12 jurors who must decide the innocence or guilt of a Traveller accused of murdering a parish priest is being staged at An Taibhdhearc from next Monday, June 18 until Saturday, June 24.
Set in contemporary Ireland, The Tinker’s Blade by Liam Heffron tells the story of the jurors and their individual journeys in the jury room as they make their crucial decision.
Their strong personalities and different backgrounds come into play as they deliberate on this emotive crime. But, as the jurors evaluate the evidence, they are also forced to examine themselves and their own prejudices.
