ATHENRY STUDENT WINS BEST INDIVIDUAL AWARD AT BT YOUNG SCIENTIST
January 12, 2013 - 11:22amAthenry Presentation College student Edel Browne has taken the "Best Individual" award at the BT Young Scientist exhibition.
Her project focused on the Technology sector and involved a device called "Free Feet" which works to reduce freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease.
Her award includes a BT perpetual trophy and 2 thousand 400 euro.
The top award went to three students from Kinsale Community School in Cork for their project which examined the effects of bacteria on plant germination.
