HELICOPTER IN SALTHILL ACCIDENT TO RETURN TO UK TODAY
The helicopter, which was involved in the incident at the Salthill Airshow yesterday, is to return to the UK today
A door of the RAF Merlin helicopter fell to the ground injuring three people on the beach as the Airshow concluded shortly after 6pm yesterday
The Air Accident Investigation Unit is examining the possibility that the door of the helicopter could have been tampered with
Four separate inquiries have been launched into the freak accident
Britain's Ministry of Defence, the Irish Aviation Authority, the Air Accident Investigation Unit and Gardaí are investigating the incident.
