BLACK MAN COMPENSATED FOR RACISM AT COUNTY GALWAY CAR SALES GARAGE
December 16, 2008 - 2:33pmA black man has been awarded five hundred euro, after an equality tribunal found he had been discriminated against on account of his race by a County Galway car salesman.
Harry Osemwegie was given the award for "upset suffered" following a visit to a car sales garage in South East Galway on January 16 2006.
According to today's Irish Independent, before he had a chance to ask any questions, an employee, identified only by the Tribunal as Mr A told him "we have no cheap cars here".
