BOIL WATER NOTICE ISSUED FOR AREA IN CONNEMARA
July 15, 2009 - 5:50pmA boil notice has been put in place for Tully and Tullycross in Connemara.
Galway County Council, on the advice of the HSE, has issued the boil notice as the public water supply may be contaminated, due to recent heavy rainfall.
The County Council is advising people in the Tully / Tullycross area to boil water before use.
Water must be boiled for drinking, drinks made with water, preparation of salads, brushing teeth and making ice.
They are recommending that ice cubes in fridges and freezers be thrown out.
